WEBSITE - WWW.TYPEWORKSHOP.COM

This website is dedicated to typography and displays creative peices created in various workshops. I seriously recommend this website; from the inspiring work that has been created to the range of useful reference it makes avialable.

The image above is a final peice created in one of the workshops. It spells 'informe', which means 'without form' in Italian and refers to the English word inform. More than 300 tiles were used to create this peice and it could only be read from the top floor of the building. I personally find peices like this interesting as materials are used in a way in which they were not designed for.

wow... i love the way that people and their shadows have been left in the bottom of the shot - think it adds a bit of movement and interest to an area which would otherwise be a void but without detracting from the final image. it really makes me want to work on a larger scale as the possibilities are endless. i'm just imagining how many times the designers would have had to trek up to the top floor to adjust things and make sure everything looked right from the angle it would be shot from. hope they had a lift.
